As well as offering passenger services to a variety of sunshine destinations and daily flights to Amsterdam and Aberdeen, the airport is home to major offshore energy helicopter transport operations, corporate aviation, general aviation, and the East Anglia Air Ambulance.

It is also a centre of excellence for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft, including a 70,000 sq ft facility occupied by KLM UK Engineering. The airport also accommodates a wide range of niche aviation/aerospace supply chain companies ranging from design and development to precision manufacturing.
